Laparoscopic Simple Prostatectomy Cohort

The Laparoscopic Simple Prostatectomy Cohort includes encounters in MS-DRG 707-708, with a principal procedure code for a laparoscopic approach simple prostatectomy.

To leverage this cohort:

Cohort inclusions

To be eligible for this cohort, the encounter must have an MS-DRG for a prostatectomy (one of: 707 or 708) and a principal procedure code for a laparoscopic prostatectomy (0VT04ZZ).

Cohort exclusions

Encounters are excluded from this cohort if they are:

• admitted from the ED or as a transfer
• discharged AMA
